Are you feeling it?
The ominous political shit show we are living through is leaving many of us feeling off-center, de-stabilized, overwhelmed, depleted and powerless.
Telling ourselves to snap out of it because “they” want us to feel that way isn’t super helpful. And, somehow, the usual forms of political action, as necessary as they are, feel inadequate to the hugeness of the moment.
We need a deeper shift
In this workshop, I’ll share a radical framework for intentionally shifting our center of gravity to our deep creative core, so we can bring authenticity, aliveness, and radiant power to ALL we do: our activism, work, caregiving, and art.
I know, I know…
For many of us, the idea of returning to our creative center in such perilous times may feel counterintuitive. After all, many of us have adapted to the everyday demands of our work, families, and communities by putting our creativity on a “back burner,” hoping to return to it someday, when things slow down. (Spoiler: Things never slow down.)
The old strategies are backfiring
Keeping creativity “on the side” might seem like a logical strategy for limiting what is on our plates. Yet cutting ourselves off from our creativity disconnects us from our deepest sources of aliveness, joy, and agency, leaving us vulnerable to depression, overwhelm, and burnout.
To go beyond resisting and become pioneers for a better future, we need to be fully human and fully alive.
But how?
First, we have to opt out of the soul-crushing value systems that teach us to derive our sense of worth from relentless busyness and/or sacrificing ourselves to the needs of others.
We also need a mindset shift around creativity. Accessing our creative core is not necessarily about art making, it is bigger than that. Creativity is a way of being and doing that emerges from deep, authentic, reciprocal engagements with ourselves and the world.
And, we need tangible strategies and practices for showing up differently in our own lives. We have the power to come back to our own senses, our joy, our curiosity, and our aliveness.

What you’ll learn and do in the workshop
In this interactive online workshop, you’ll:
Learn the two major cultural value systems that lead us toward self-abdication and cut us off from our creative power
Tune into the key signals that tell you when you are operating from your creative center
Play with how different facets of your life – your work, your parenting, or your activism – will look different when you approach them as expressions of your creative core
Experiment with small mindset shifts, rituals, and practices that you can use to reconnect to your creative center when the chaos of these times pulls you away.
Strengthen your ability to advocate for the deeper river of change that is underway beneath the chaotic surface of this moment.

About Your Teacher
Sara Saltee is a complex creator who has been deeply immersed in the study and practice of creativity for more than 20 years. An artist, writer, teacher, adult learning specialist, curriculum designer, and certified creativity coach, Sara’s original tools and frameworks help creators of all kinds connect to their authentic impulses and make their highest contributions.
In her teaching and coaching, Sara draws on her history as a faculty member and adult student advisor, a culture change and strategic planning consultant to nonprofits and public agencies in the Puget Sound region, and as a designer and facilitator of train-the-trainer programs for a global community of grassroots leaders as the Director of Leadership and Learning Programs for Riane Eisler’s Center for Partnership Systems.
