A CONVERSATION WITH SARA
If you are a bit familiar with my life story, you may recall that I have a rather tense relationship with Academia, and in particular with academic writing. So, when my friend Susan Carter, PhD, asked me to contribute an article about my Creative Constellations work to the issue of the Interdisciplinary Journal of Partnership Studies she was guest editing, I said NO. I said I was way too busy. I said I had a root canal to get to.
But Susan kept talking, and saying no is hard, and eventually, we came around to the solution that she could interview me! We could write a conversation, not an article! And suddenly, I started to feel some time opening up on my schedule.
In the end, the interview was published as “Reimagining Creativity for a Partnership World” and in it you’ll hear me connecting the dots between my creativity work and the work I’ve done with Riane Eisler’s Center for Partnership Systems over the last decade.
We talked about:
What got me into creativity coaching
Why we need to think in terms of multiple creativities, just like we think in terms of multiple intelligences
How people with creativity consciousness handled the pandemic differently than people with productivity consciousness
and much more!
